RPI, in partnership with Janet Rhymes Consulting, has been engaged to evaluate the Creating Communities of Care through a Customary Law Approach project. This project is being implemented in Nova Scotia to support survivors of gender-based violence in Halifax’s urban Indigenous and African Nova Scotian communities in part by identifying and testing non-traditional support pathways. It is a collaborative effort between four community project partners:
- Mi’kmaw Legal Support Network
- Association of Black Social Workers
- Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre
- Elizabeth Fry Society of Mainland Nova Scotia
The project and the evaluation will take place throughout 2021, 2022 and 2023.
